How I Became a Home Inspector

I’m a licensed, insured, bilingual Certified Professional Inspector based in Dallas, Texas, proudly serving homebuyers and sellers across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, from Dallas, Plano, and Garland to Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, Frisco, McKinney, Celina, and the communities in between.

I was born and raised in Mexico City, and as a child I moved to Arizona where I attended school, becoming fluent in English in addition to my native Spanish. That bilingual background has been one of the most meaningful parts of my work as a home inspector, it means I can walk Spanish-speaking clients through every finding in the language they’re most comfortable in, so nothing gets lost in translation on what may be the biggest purchase of their lifetime.

I’ve been working in the construction field since 1998, starting as a laborer, working my way up to licensed contractor, and eventually opening my own contracting company. Every step of that journey deepened my understanding of how homes are built, where they fail, and what to look for. With over 20 years of hands-on construction experience behind me, becoming an InterNACHI Certified Home Inspector was the natural next step, and founding Cocco Inspection Company LLC was the way I chose to put all of that knowledge to work for the people of North Texas.
